C. Scott Humphrey, MD, is the creator and main author of

A board certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Humphrey is a graduate of the University of Oregon. He attended the University of Utah School of Medicine. He finished orthopedic surgery training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Creighton University residency program.

Dr. Humphrey completed an additional year of training beyond orthopedic surgery residency to subspecialize in surgery of the shoulder and upper extremity (the Tom R. Norris, MD and H. Relton McCarroll Shoulder and Upper Extremity Fellowship, California Pacific Medical Center, San Francisco, CA).

Dr. Humphrey opened the Boise Shoulder Clinic in September of 2006. He also founded the company Shoulder Options in 2008. Dr. Humphrey designed the Shoulder Options CRP, an implant device used for rotator cuff repair.

Dr. Humphrey enjoys white-water rafting, skiing, and guitar playing.
